We're a multi-generation, family-run wildlife removal company serving New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Removing animals from people's homes is important work, and we take a lot of pride in doing it right.
We're animal lovers at heart. We always work in the best interest of our clients and their homes, but we treat every animal we encounter with kindness and respect. Our technicians are trained in animal behavior, proprietary exclusion techniques, and finish carpentry.
Gregory Jahner was a master carpenter long before he was a wildlife removal specialist. In 1998, clients started asking him for help with animals getting into their homes. His approach was simple: figure out how they're getting in, get them out humanely, and seal the house so it doesn't happen again. Use real materials. Make the work invisible.
That carpentry-first approach became the foundation of the business. The ability to seal a home properly, match materials to the existing structure, and leave the place looking better than we found it. It's what separates us from every pest control company that decided to branch into wildlife.
Gregory's sons now run the operation across three territories. Kris leads TriState Wildlife, covering New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The training, the methods, and the standards are the same ones Gregory established. The crew has grown, the technology has improved, but the core hasn't changed: treat the animals right, treat the home right, and stand behind the work.
We try to solve every animal problem without drawing needless attention. If our solutions are invisible to onlookers, we've done our job correctly.
Rye, NY
A family in Rye hired another company to handle a bat colony in their attic. When the bats came back the next season and started migrating into the living space, that company told them it wasn't their problem. We were called in to fix it. Exclusions that require undoing someone else's mistakes are harder and more expensive, because the ineffective seals have to come off before any new work can begin. Once the roofline was fully exposed, we sealed it properly with materials built to last. We stand behind our work with a written guarantee. In this case, we also restored the home's aesthetics completely.

Attic vents play an important role in helping your home breathe, but they're often left completely unprotected. This cupola was open on all four sides, and squirrels were using it along with several other points on the roofline to get inside. It was located above a steep second-story roof, so securing it was no easy task. The finished product looks clean up close and is completely invisible from the ground. It's also 100% effective.

Mice and rats are masters of airflow. If there's even the smallest access point in your foundation, rodents can seek it out. We use the highest quality products available: copper mesh, pure silicone, galvanized wire, and cement. No spray foam. No chicken wire. The end result is effective and looks like it belongs there.
We got into this business because we care about animals. That's not a marketing line. It's how we operate, every day, on every job.
Every animal we trap is relocated a minimum of 20 miles. When we find baby animals in an attic, we remove them by hand and transport them to licensed wildlife rehabilitators at our own expense. Bats are evicted through one-way exit devices during appropriate seasons. We never trap them. We never use poisons. Ever.
We check traps for nursing females. We monitor with camera traps to verify humane outcomes. When a mother raccoon is trapped, we go back for the babies the same day so they're not left alone overnight.
"They pulled out four adorable babies that looked like they hadn't eaten in days. They let me watch them feed the babies formula from an eyedropper. It was one of the cutest things I've ever seen."

Every exclusion job comes with a written guarantee. If wildlife re-enters through any point we sealed, we come back at no cost.
Our bat exclusion carries a 25-year transferable warranty. That means it stays with the house, not just the homeowner. It's the strongest guarantee in the industry because we use materials that are built to outlast the warranty itself. All other animals carry a gold standard 10-year warranty.
Nearly 90% of our business comes from referrals by police stations, municipalities, and satisfied homeowners. It's been that way since we got started. When you guarantee your work and actually stand behind it, you don't need to spend six figures a year on advertising.
Raccoons in the Ceiling — Passaic County, NJ
I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of raccoons crying in my ceiling and I thought for sure I must still be dreaming. When the crying didn't stop, I definitely started getting worried. I called the local police, who told me they didn't have animal control, but gave me the number to TriState Wildlife. I called them without even thinking about the time, but they answered right away and walked me through the problem. They explained how the raccoons might have gotten inside the attic to give birth, and if the crying didn't stop by morning, it may mean that the mother died while she was out finding food. They were just as concerned about the little babies as I was. They agreed to push their schedule around so that they could come first thing in the morning. They pulled out four adorable babies that looked like they hadn't eaten in days. After closing up the hole in the ceiling, they let me watch them feed the babies formula from an eyedropper. It was one of the cutest things I've ever seen! They checked my whole roof line and closed up all of the holes that they found. They even raccoon proofed my chimney, just so that I wouldn't have to worry about it in the future. They were kind and professional and really seemed to take pride in their work.

Squirrel Removal & Exclusion — Westchester, NY
When my husband and I started noticing strange noises coming from our attic, we immediately began calling around to find out what our options were. Before finding TriState Wildlife, we found and hired another company, who said they could get rid of the squirrels and seal up our roof line. Three weeks later, our house was covered in dripping orange foam, the squirrels had chewed their way back inside, and the company we hired refused to take our calls. TriState Wildlife was more expensive than the first company, but they actually came to work everyday and did a fantastic job. They trapped for about a week before starting to fix the mess that the other guys made. They scraped out all of the ugly foam and replaced it with copper and silicone instead. Not only did they take the time to show us how durable their products were, you can't even see it from the ground. Unlike the first company, TriState signed a 25 year warranty for all of the work they did on our house. It's been nearly five months now, and we're still free of critters, which is why we gladly recommend TriState Wildlife.

Raccoon Removal & Attic Restoration — Greenwich, CT
TriState Wildlife took care of absolutely everything! They discovered that our attic was in ruins from the raccoons living inside. We knew right away just from the pictures that it was going to be a costly venture, but TriState Wildlife made sure we were taken care of. They documented everything and worked with our home owners insurance to get full coverage on all of the repairs. Within two weeks, they had trapped and removed six raccoons, including five babies, completely raccoon proofed our entire home and did a total attic decontamination and restoration job. At one point, there were six guys in full Hazmat gear working inside the attic. It was amazing and gross and I'm so happy that they were able to do it for us! TriState Wildlife is a great company that takes their job seriously and does it well. If you have raccoons in your attic, or under your porch, or anywhere else you can imagine, they're the company you want to hire. Trust me!

Bat Removal & Exclusion — Westchester, NY
You've heard of bats in the belfry? Well, we had one in the bedroom, of all places! TriState returned my frantic phone call within 5 minutes—faster than any of our family doctors (just saying). Kris patiently told me exactly what to do, and promised to come to our house no matter what time of night—which he did, extremely competently and professionally, no muss/no fuss. But the absolute most important thing he did? Talked ME down from the ceiling—I was pretty unhinged by the time I called him. Couldn't pay enough for that particular part of the services TriState offered. Bottom line? House: hundreds of thousands. Insurance: thousands. TriState Peace of Mind: PRICELESS. Would fully recommend this company in a hypertensive minute!

Squirrel Removal & Attic Cleanup — Westchester, NY
We just used TriState Wildlife to remove a family of squirrels from our attic. We thought it was just a little squirrel problem when we started hearing noises in the attic. We had no clue just how bad it had gotten. The guys at TriState actually went up into the attic during their inspection to show us exactly what was going on. It was a nightmare! They set traps inside the attic and on the roof where they were getting inside. They were able to catch all 12 of them over the course of four days. They repaired all of the damage to the outside of the house to keep them out. They also cleaned up the huge mess that the squirrels made in the attic. That in itself was a fascinating process, although a little unnerving after reading up on all of the diseases squirrels carry. My only regret is waiting too long to call in an expert. TriState Wildlife provides first rate service. I can definitely recommend them to anyone with an animal problem.

Raccoon Removal & Porch Exclusion — Greenwich, CT
When we found raccoons living underneath our porch, we paid a wildlife company $1,300 to trap them, and secure the porch so that nothing else could get under there again. After a few days, they told us that they'd removed the raccoons, so we gave them the go ahead to wire the porch shut. The problem is that the work was terrible and the raccoons came back. To be honest, I'm not sure he ever trapped them. One cancelled check and a few phone calls later, Kris from TriState Wildlife was at our house to save the day. The whole crew at Tristate were super nice and very professional. They trapped four raccoons in total, showing us each one, so that we could see for ourselves. They sealed the porch up with trenching and wire, but didn't stop there. They also cemented everything in place, and installed brand new lattice work to make it look even nicer. They didn't even charge us for the lattice! The contrast in quality was really staggering, and we couldn't have been more pleased.
