An 80 year old estate in Rye had bats for a decade. The owners lived with it, but the buyer's inspector flagged guano in the attic during a pre-sale walkthrough. We identified two colonies, one entering near the chimney cap and one entering via the soffits. We sealed the roofline with copper flashing and color-matched mortar, leaving the primary entrances open for eviction.
Once the colony was gone, we closed the remaining openings. We then completed a complete bacterial mitigation of the attic and interior walls. The 25-year transferable warranty gave the buyers peace of mind to go through with the purchase.

A Flying Squirrel Colony Above a Back Bedroom
A New Castle homeowner called about something "running wild in the attic" after dark. An attic inspection revealed a colony of flying squirrels, entering through several quarter-sized gaps at the roof edge. Since Flying squirrels are colony animals, trapping required multiple sets over two weeks. We relocated 11 squirrels, and sealed every gap along the roofline with copper mesh and color-matched aluminum flashing. No activity since.
