A Little Brown Bat Colony in a Cathedral Ceiling
A Wayne homeowner reported a faint chirping sound in the cathedral ceiling above the great room on summer evenings. Thermal imaging located a maternal colony of little brown bats roosting that had gained access behind the fascia on the gable ends. Because pups were not yet old enough to fly, we delayed eviction until late August. In the meantime we sealed every other vulnerability on the home so the colony would have only one exit. Once the pups were independent we installed one-way eviction devices, confirmed the colony was gone over ten nights, and completed final closure. Bacterial mitigation followed, utilizing scaffolding to remove, sanitize, and replace the cathedral ceiling.

Groundhogs Beneath a Detached Garage
A West Milford homeowner noticed the concrete apron in front of a detached garage had cracked and dropped half an inch. Two groundhog burrows ran beneath the side of the garage and out toward a stone wall. We trapped and relocated three groundhogs. After a contractor stabilized the slab, we installed a permanent barrier around the entire garage perimeter and treated the abandoned burrows to neutralize residual scent. No re-entry attempts the following spring.
