Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Raccoons, bats, squirrels (gray and flying), groundhogs, skunks, and opossums. Dutchess County's Hudson Valley farmland, state parks, and older housing stock create ideal conditions for all of these species year-round.
We provide a free on-site inspection before quoting any work. Pricing depends on the species, number of entry points, and scope of exclusion needed. Upfront written estimates with no hidden fees.
We serve Dutchess County from our Harrison and New City offices. Most calls get a same-day response. Emergencies like a bat in the living space get priority scheduling.
No. We use humane live trapping with 20+ mile relocation for most species. Bats are excluded with one-way devices. Rodents are controlled with targeted trapping, never poison.
Every exclusion point we seal is backed by an industry-leading written guarantee. If wildlife re-enters through any point we sealed, we return and fix it at no charge. The guarantee transfers with the property if you sell.
Yes. Older homes have more entry points and unique construction that requires careful exclusion work. Our founder's background as a master carpenter means we seal without damaging historic trim, siding, or architectural details. We use materials that match the home's character.
CASE STUDY: EAST FISHKILL, NY

A Bat Colony Discovered During a Renovation

An East Fishkill home undergoing a kitchen renovation opened a ceiling void to find evidence of a multi-year big brown bat colony. The home had a slight odor in the Summer that they had assumed it was from mold. We immediately had them seal the area back up so that bats couldn't access the interior living space. At this point we gave the family an emergency spot in our queue, and went to work sealing every square inch of the exterior that was vulnerable to bats. We then evicted the colony.

Once the colony was confirmed gone, we set up a containment barrier around the kitchen, and took down the walls and ceilings to complete a full bacterial mitigation. Upon completion, the contractors were able to resume their renovations successfully without any worries about bats or bacteria.

CASE STUDY: LAGRANGE, NY

Groundhogs Beneath an Outbuilding and Retaining Wall

A LaGrange property had groundhogs burrowing beneath a shed in the backyard and along the adjoining field-stone retaining wall. Three burrow entrances had collapsed a section of wall, and foxes had been seen coming to the shed nightly, presumably interested in the groundhogs. We trapped and relocated four adult groundhogs, and installed a permanent protective barrier around the shed. We treated the burrow entrances as well, using a process to minimize the odor inside the burrow. After this was completed the foxes vanished and haven't been seen since.
