We don't just say we're humane. We relocate every animal at least 20 miles from the capture site. During maternity season, we extract baby raccoons by hand, reunite them with their mother in a heated box at the release site, and transport orphans to licensed wildlife rehabilitators at our own expense. We check trapped female squirrels for signs of nursing before relocating, because we know there may be babies in the attic that can't survive without her.

Bats are never trapped. They're evicted through one-way devices that let them leave at dusk and prevent re-entry. We schedule bat exclusion outside maternity season because sealing a colony in with flightless pups isn't humane, and it's not legal in New York. We do this work because we genuinely love animals.
